Motorcycle ride planner
Know when you want to head out? Instead of asking a group chat “anyone riding today?”, add a plan with where you are going and what time you are leaving. Other riders can see the time and direction and plan around it before you even start.
Let people know when you are planning to ride
A planned ride in BRAP is a specific ride for today, not another message in a group chat. Add where or why you are riding, what time you are leaving, and who you want to notify. Other riders see an actual plan rather than a vague “maybe we should ride later.”
Do not wait until you are already on the road to find company. Give other riders time to plan around your ride. This is social ride planning, not an event calendar or a GPS tracker.
Plan your ride ahead of time
You can schedule a ride from now until midnight. Plans are only for today: an evening ride, heading out after work, a quick run outside the city, or morning coffee — as long as you create it on the same day, not for tomorrow.
At the scheduled time, the plan disappears automatically. Old “planning to ride” markers do not stay on the map, and you do not have to clear them manually.
Choose who to notify
The second step is choosing who gets notified. Select groups, friends, several people at once, or “Select all”. Only the people you choose receive a notification.
Plan visibility and push notifications are separate. If you select nobody, nobody gets a push. The plan can still appear on the map for people who are allowed to see you there. The recipient list does not hide the ride or make it private.
Other riders can plan around you
See that someone you know is heading out at 6 PM? You can make time in advance and join the ride instead of only running into them by chance on the road.
If you want to discover people yourself rather than through someone else’s plan, use Riders nearby. If you want to gather a group around a route rather than simply show when you are leaving, use group motorcycle rides. The planner answers a simpler question: who is planning to ride today?
The plan disappears when it is time to leave
A plan is temporary. When the selected time arrives, it automatically disappears from the map. You do not need to delete an outdated ride manually.
The plan disappearing does not start a ride. GPS tracking does not turn on automatically. To record your route, tap “Start” — that is the job of the GPS ride tracker. The planner works before the ride; the tracker works once you start.
To see who is already on the road rather than only planning to ride, open the live motorcycle map.
How to plan a motorcycle ride in BRAP
1. Say where you are going
Coffee, a ride, out of town, the garage — a short note so others understand what the ride is about.
2. Choose a start time
Any time from now until midnight. A plan only lasts for today.
3. Choose who to notify
Friends, groups, several recipients, or “Select all”. You can also choose nobody — then no push notification is sent.
4. Publish the plan
Other riders can see the upcoming ride on the BRAP map. The people you selected also receive a notification.
5. Head out when it is time
At the scheduled time, the temporary plan disappears automatically. Tap “Start” separately if you want to record the route.

Frequently asked questions
How do I plan a motorcycle ride in BRAP?
On the map, open “Planning”, enter where you are going, choose a start time for today, select friends or groups to notify, and publish the plan. This does not start GPS tracking.
How far ahead can I plan a motorcycle ride?
You can schedule a ride from the current time until midnight. It is a plan for today, not tomorrow morning or next week.
Who can see my planned ride?
The plan is visible on the map to people who are allowed to see you there — the same visibility rules as your live marker. Your selected friends and groups only determine who receives a notification.
Can I notify only friends or a specific group?
Yes. Select individual friends, individual groups, several recipients, or “Select all”. If you select nobody, nobody gets a push, but the plan can still appear for people who can see you on the map.
What happens to the plan after the start time?
At the selected time, the temporary plan disappears automatically. You do not need to delete it manually. If your plans change earlier, you can cancel it or move it to another time today.
Does the ride start automatically?
No. A planned ride tells other people about your plans, but you still need to start the GPS track separately with the “Start” button.
