Live motorcycle map

Open BRAP and see which riders are already on the road or planning to head out. The live motorcycle map helps you find people to ride with nearby, join a ride, or simply see where your riding circle is active right now.

See who is riding nearby right now

The motorcycle map in BRAP is not a navigation app or a mileage tracker. It is a live presence layer: who is already riding, where the ride host is moving, and whether you can join them.

The flow is simple. Open the app → see riders nearby → find people to ride with → join a ride. Markers appear when riders start a ride themselves and allow their location to be visible. You see their position, not their full GPS track or a promise of meter-level accuracy.

Find motorcyclists nearby

Want to ride this evening but the group chats are quiet? Instead of messaging everyone, open the map and see who is already out or planning to ride. It is a faster way to tell whether there is any real riding activity in your city right now.

The map answers one question: “Who is riding nearby right now?” If you want to discover people through profiles as well as the map, there is a separate Find riders nearby section.

Who is riding now and who is planning to ride

BRAP shows two different states on the map. You do not have to wait for a chance encounter at a traffic light — you can see an upcoming ride in advance and plan around it.

Riding now

Riders who have already started a ride. The map shows their live position. From the card you can open the rider’s profile or join the host if the ride is still open to others.

Planning

Rides planned for today with a start time. This is a heads-up, not live movement. A plan lasts until its scheduled time; when the rider starts riding, they move into the “Riding now” state.

You can create your own upcoming ride with the motorcycle ride planner, so other riders can see that you are heading out before you even start.

Find people for a group ride

You do not have to create another chat and wait for someone to reply. Check rider activity in BRAP, find an interesting ride, and arrange to ride together. You can join an active ride directly from the map — your own track starts at the same time.

If you want to gather riders around your own ride rather than join someone else’s, use group motorcycle rides.

What you can see on the BRAP map

People are the main layer. Everything else can be enabled when you need it and stays out of the way when you only want to see who is riding.

  • Riders on the road now

Markers for people with an active ride. If other riders have joined the host, the marker shows the group size.

  • Planned rides

Today’s ride plans from other riders, including the start time but without a live position on the road.

  • Motorcycle-friendly places

Optionally show fuel stations, cafes, motorcycle service shops, stores, and riding schools.

  • Events

A separate layer for motorcycle events with coordinates. Tapping one opens the event card, not a ride.

For more about fuel stations, cafes, motorcycle service shops, stores, and riding schools, see motorcycle-friendly places on the map.

Your own route while riding is drawn only for you. Ride history, distance, and speed belong in the GPS ride tracker — that is not what the live map is for.

A map that connects riders

The live rider map is part of the motorcycle community, not a standalone service. From the map you can open a profile, from a profile a ride, and from a ride find people you can actually ride with.

From there, there is the wider motorcycle community and permanent motorcycle groups. The map simply shows who is on the road right now.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find motorcyclists nearby?

Open BRAP and go to the map. You will see riders who are already on the road and people who have planned a ride for today. There is no need to search through group chats — current activity is visible right away.

Can I see who is riding right now?

Yes. When a rider starts a ride, they appear on the map with their current position if their visibility settings allow it. From the card you can open their profile or join the active ride.

Can I see planned rides?

Yes. The map has a separate “Planning” state showing rides scheduled for today with an approximate start time. It is not a live position on the road; it is an upcoming activity you can plan around.

How do I find people to ride motorcycles with?

See who is already riding or planning to head out, open their profile, and arrange to ride together. If you want to gather riders around your own idea, create a group ride in BRAP.

Do I need to start my own ride to use the map?

No. You can open and use the map without recording your own ride. Starting a ride is only necessary if you want to appear on the map for other riders.
