SOS for motorcyclists
If you run into trouble on the road, SOS in BRAP alerts the community with a marker on the map and notifications to your friends. It's part of the motorcycle community, not a replacement for official emergency services.
BRAP SOS does not replace official emergency services. If there is a threat to life or health, contact the appropriate emergency service.
When to use SOS
Choose the type of alert on the map. No alert type guarantees that help will arrive.
SOS
An emergency situation where you need the attention of other riders.
Crash
A road accident.
Breakdown
A mechanical or technical problem.
Conflict
A conflict situation where having other people present may help.
How SOS works in BRAP
Choose the alert type and hold the button for two seconds to avoid triggering it by accident. A marker appears on the map at your location when the alert was sent. Everyone using the app can see it, even if you normally hide your map marker. SOS does not automatically start live ride tracking.
Your friends receive a push notification. There is currently no “everyone nearby” notification radius. You can clear the alert once you are safe. The detailed SEO page for SOS will be expanded later.
