BRAP features

Motorcycle groups and rider communities

Find your riding community or create your own. BRAP lets you bring together riders from your city, friends, or owners of a favorite motorcycle brand, chat as a group, and organize rides together.

Group discovery and creation happen in the app, not on the website.

Find your people

A motorcycle group in BRAP is an ongoing circle, not a one-off “who is riding today?” chat. Groups can form around a city, riding style, motorcycle brand, group of friends, or shared interest.

If you are looking for a specific person nearby rather than a community, use Find riders nearby. A group is for people you want to ride with again.

Create a motorcycle group for your city

Live in Kyiv? Create a group for local riders. In Kharkiv, build a local Kharkiv riding community. The same works for Lviv, Odesa, or a smaller town where you want one place for your riding circle.

Public groups can be found by name in the Search tab. This is not a BRAP city directory and there is no guarantee a group already exists — groups are created by riders themselves.

Or build a group around an interest

A group does not have to be geographic. Want to bring together Yamaha owners in your area? Create a group. Ride enduro and need company for weekends? Build a community around that. Honda, Ducati, touring, sportbikes, morning coffee, and evening rides are simply examples — you decide what your group is about.

Public or private — you decide

Public

Visible in search. Anyone can join immediately without approval. Good for an open city- or interest-based community.

Private

Join by invitation from the owner only. The invited friend can accept or decline. Good for a private riding circle, closed club, or regular crew.

The owner can edit the group, invite people, remove members, or delete the group. Members can leave; joining a private group again requires a new invitation.

Every group has its own chat

The BRAP group chat is a tab available to members. Use text messages to agree on the time, meeting point, who is riding, and plans for the trip. You cannot see the chat until you join the group.

It is not a standalone messenger: the chat sits next to the member list and the same people can be notified when you are planning a ride.

Planning a ride? Notify the whole group

A BRAP group is more than a chat. It is connected to real motorcycle rides. Planning to leave at 6 PM? Create a plan and select your motorcycle group: members get a push notification in advance and have time to join.

You can select several groups or “Select all”. The notification list does not hide the plan from the map — it only determines who receives a push. For start-time details, see motorcycle ride planning. For actually riding together, see group motorcycle rides.

From group chat to riding together

Create or find a group → chat → plan a ride → notify the group → ride together. See who is already on the road on the live motorcycle map.

A regular messenger keeps the conversation separate from the map and ride plans. Here, chat, members, and ride notifications live in one app.

What kind of motorcycle group can you create?

These are ideas for your own group, not a list of official BRAP communities.

  • City

A local community for riders in Kyiv, Kharkiv, or any other city — an example, not a ready-made group directory.

  • Motorcycle brand

A user-created group for Yamaha, Honda, Ducati, or another brand. It is not an official brand community.

  • Riding style

Enduro, touring, sportbikes, morning coffee, or evening rides — build a group around the way you like to ride.

  • Your riding crew

A private group for friends who ride regularly: chat and ride-plan notifications without public discovery.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a motorcycle group in BRAP?

Open Groups in the app, tap “Create”, enter a name, optionally add a description and photo, choose public or private visibility, and invite friends if you want. Any BRAP user can create a group; groups cannot be created from the website.

Who can create a motorcycle group?

Any BRAP user can create their own group.

What is the difference between a public and private group?

Public groups appear in search and anyone can join immediately. Private groups are invitation-only: the invited friend can accept or decline. You cannot join a private group without an invitation.

Do motorcycle groups have chat?

Yes. Members have a group text chat where they can agree on the time, meeting point, and who is riding. Group chats currently do not support voice messages, polls, or attachments.

Can I create a motorcycle group for my city?

Yes. You choose the name and description yourself — for example, a local community for Kyiv, Kharkiv, or any other city. These are user-created groups, not an official list of BRAP cities.

Can I create a group for Yamaha or Honda owners?

Yes, as a user-created community around an interest or motorcycle brand. BRAP is not an official Yamaha, Honda, or other brand group.

Can I notify my motorcycle group about an upcoming ride?

Yes. In the ride planner, select one or several of your groups and their members will receive a push notification. If you select nobody, no notification is sent.
